XXL Happyness is an events agency based in the Arcachon Basin, with its XXL hut at the ‘Cap-Ferret’ and its office in Bordeaux, an hour’s drive away.
Seminars, off-site board meetings, water-based team-building activities, incentive trips, corporate events: we organise your events in Arcachon, La Teste-de-Buch, Gujan-Mestras, Andernos, Lège-Cap-Ferret and throughout the Arcachon Basin. We know the local hotels, pinasses, oyster huts and chefs, and we’ll book them for you.
What we organise in the Arcachon Basin
Residential seminars and executive committee meetings. Two or three days by the sea and amongst the pine forests, in a hotel in Arcachon or Le Pyla, in our XXL cabin at the ‘Cap-Ferret’ or in a privately hired holiday village. Meetings in the morning, a trip to the Bassin in the afternoon, and dinner with your feet in the sand. Discover our event formats to bring people together.
Team-building and incentive activities. Each side of the Arcachon Bay has its own character. We’ll work with you to choose the one that best suits your group, the time of year and your budget.
Arcachon, the Pyla and the Dune du Pilat
The ‘Winter City’ and its villas, the seaside hotels, and the TGV station just 50 minutes from Bordeaux. Ideal for a residential seminar for 50 to 200 people, including a climb up the Dune at sunrise.
La Teste-de-Buch, Gujan-Mestras and Le Teich
The oyster-farming harbours, Île aux Oiseaux, the Teich nature reserve. The setting for nature-based team-building activities: kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, oyster tasting at the oyster farm, and a trip by pinasse to the stilted huts.

You’re probably wondering…
The budget depends mainly on the accommodation, the season and the activities. An executive committee meeting for 12 people in our XXL cabin, with a private chef and a trip on a pinasse, does not cost the same as a residential seminar for 150 people at a hotel in Arcachon in June. Our agency fees are listed separately in each quotation. Out of season, from October to April, the Bassin is considerably more affordable and just as beautiful.
Across the entire Arcachon Bay area. Our base is at the ‘Cap-Ferret’, but the majority of our seminars take place in Arcachon, Le Pyla, La Teste-de-Buch or Biscarrosse, at partner hotels and holiday villages, as this is where the largest accommodation facilities and the railway station are located. Cap-Ferret is often the ‘getaway’ stop on the programme, reached by boat from Arcachon.
From 8 to 200 people on residential stays. Up to 18 beds in our XXL cabin, up to 100 people per session at the hotels in the ‘Cap-Ferret’ and Unikalo, and up to 200 at the hotels and holiday villages in Arcachon, Pyla or Biscarrosse. For larger groups, we organise multi-site events or day trips returning to Bordeaux.
A water sports rally by pinasse or boat, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding, climbing the Dune du Pilat, exploring the stilted huts and Île aux Oiseaux, oyster tasting at an oyster farm, e-bike or Méhari rides around the peninsula, yoga and beach games, cooking workshop with a chef, orienteering in the pine forest.
