Arcachon Bay as a playground.

Event type Corporate seminar
Participants 60
Date 01/06/2025
60 Paris-based L’Oréal Luxe employees set down their bags in Arcachon for three days. We chose Huttopia, devised a boat rally, climbed the Dune du Pilat and finished with our feet in the sand. The Bay as they had never seen it.
The challenge
Give 60 Paris-based employees total immersion in one of France’s most exceptional natural settings, while creating the conditions for genuine team cohesion.
Paris teams leaving the office deserve a change of scenery to match. Not a chain hotel with a pool, not a seminar that smells of package deals, but a stay rooted in an exceptional region, with experiences you won’t find anywhere else and moments that make people forget Teams meetings for good.
Arcachon Bay has something few destinations in France can offer
The water, the pines, the sand, fresh oysters and that particular feeling that time slows down the moment you arrive.
Our mission
Make the most of it over three days, with a programme that alternates adventure on the water, exploration and celebration, and turns this stay into a benchmark in the teams’ collective memory.
L’Oréal Luxe teams on boats across Arcachon Bay, with challenges, sunshine and oysters.
What have we built? Our 5 Culture Makers Moments
Huttopia Arcachon: the accommodation that changes everything
Not a hotel. Huttopia, a haven of nature among the pines of Arcachon, between forest and bay. Unusual lodgings that tell Paris teams straight away that they really are somewhere else. The choice of venue as the first editorial gesture: we’re not here for a standard seminar, we’re here to experience something rooted in an exceptional region.
Boat rally on Pique-Nique Sport boats: interactive challenges on the Bay
The highlight of the collective adventure. Teams aboard Pique-Nique Sport boats, fun and nimble craft perfect for the Bay, for a boat rally with interactive challenges. Navigation, challenges, team spirit, sunshine and turquoise water. The format that mixes up hierarchies, reveals unexpected leaders and creates memories nobody could have anticipated when leaving Paris.
Visit to the Dune du Pilat & picnic with a view
The climb that takes your breath away, then the view that justifies the effort. The Dune du Pilat as a shared experience: climb together, arrive together, take it in together. A picnic with the Bay on one side and the ocean on the other. The collective breathing space that anchors the stay in its region.

‘The Love Boat’ themed evening on one of the most beautiful rooftops
The first evening as a statement of intent. A rooftop overlooking the Bay, a Love Boat theme, relaxed elegance, festive spirit, Arcachon as the natural backdrop. The format that tells teams straight away this stay will live up to their expectations, and that it knows how to party as well as it knows how to work.
Second evening with feet in the sand
A gentle close. An evening by the sea, feet in the sand, with the sound of the waves in the background. The absolute contrast with a Paris office, and the simplest, truest way to end three days in one of the most beautiful places in France. Some moments don’t need to be complicated to be perfect.
Behind the scenes
Huttopia as a strategic choice for Luxe teams
Proposing Huttopia to L’Oréal Luxe teams, a brand synonymous with refinement and excellence, is a bet on the power of an authentic change of scenery. Luxury isn’t always where you expect it. Unusual lodgings among the pines of Arcachon, with the Bay within sight, can offer a more memorable experience than any palace hotel. The choice was validated the moment they arrived.
Pique-Nique Sport boats as a tool for cohesion on the water
These fun semi-rigid boats are perfect for Arcachon Bay: convivial and accessible to non-sailors. Designing a boat rally with interactive challenges on this kind of craft means creating an aquatic playground where hierarchy no longer applies. On the water, you’re a team, not an organisation chart.
Three days without a dull moment: rhythm as the art of design
Boat rally, Dune du Pilat, two themed evenings, unusual accommodation: the programme leaves no gaps, but it does leave room to breathe. The difference between a packed schedule and a well-designed programme is the ability to alternate intensity and calm. The picnic on the Dune after the boat rally is exactly that: the right rhythm at the right moment.
Arcachon as the obvious destination for Paris teams
Two hours by TGV from Paris, and another world. Arcachon Bay has that rare ability to instantly disconnect very connected people: the sea air, the flat horizon, the slow pace of the bay. For Paris teams with overloaded diaries, it’s the ideal break-away destination: close enough to be accessible, different enough to truly transform the relationship to everyday life.
Teams who work in the world of luxury know how to recognise what is truly well done. This stay was our way of showing them that

Your teams deserve a stay that lives up to what they create every day.
We know where to take them and how to surprise them.
