Asobo Studio is releasing its brand-new Flight Simulator game. To celebrate, we took everyone to the Aerocampus in Latresne: real aircraft, bungee jumping and a spectacular cake.
Take-off was at 10am. Landing, much later.
The challenge
Celebrate the release of a flight simulation game with a day as immersive as the game itself, one that leaves its mark on the teams who built it.
Flight Simulator represents years of work, passion and technical detail pushed to the extreme. The teams who created it deserved a celebration to match: not drinks in a bar, not a gala dinner. A full day tied to the world of the game, in a venue like no other, with sensations you don’t get at the office.
Our mission
Find the perfect venue: the Aerocampus in Latresne was the obvious choice. Design a programme that celebrates aviation in all its forms, and build a day that gathers momentum towards a memorable evening party. From a reconstructed plane crash to a spectacular cake: a whole day in the air.

Aviation team building
“Reconstructing a crashed aeroplane” – the perfect starting point. Teams are given parts, clues and a challenge: to reconstruct an aeroplane from its wreckage. A bespoke format designed for teams who have spent years modelling every component of an aircraft and who find this workshop a direct reflection of their day-to-day work. Team cohesion through their core business.
Adrenaline activities
Bungee jumping, free-fall simulator, giant table football & pétanque: fresh air, adrenaline, choice. For those who want to go up: the bungee jump and the free-fall simulator. For those who’d rather stay on the ground in style: giant table football and pétanque. A line-up of activities that lets everyone unwind in their own way, while keeping the whole group in the same space, with the same energy.

The backdrop nobody expected and everybody wanted. An aircraft as the photocall setting: the souvenir shot that captures the spirit of the day perfectly. Simple, powerful, unforgettable.
Outdoor cocktail dinner & cocktail bar, DJ party
The natural transition from day to night. An outdoor cocktail dinner on the tarmac with the sunset as a backdrop, then the music rises, the cocktail bar comes alive, and a DJ party turns the Aerocampus into an open-air dance floor. A venue that keeps working even once the official programme is over.
The spectacular “aviation” cake
The final moment that brings silence, then gasps. A cake designed as a centrepiece in the image of the Flight Simulator universe: spectacular in form, memorable in execution. Because a game launch that took this much care deserves a finale to match.
Behind the scenes
The Aerocampus in Latresne: the obvious choice
When the game is called Flight Simulator and the Aerocampus sits 20 minutes from Bordeaux, an aeronautics training site with real aircraft, real hangars and a real tarmac, the question of the venue barely arises. What does arise is negotiating exclusive hire, the logistics of an outdoor event on a working site, and coordinating activities, catering and the party across an unconventional space.
Bespoke team building as a tribute to the game
“Reconstructing a crashed aeroplane” is not your standard workshop plucked from a catalogue. It is an activity designed specifically for teams who know the aviation industry inside out – who know what a landing gear, a flight plan and a black box are. The format resonates with them because it speaks their language. That’s what bespoke team-building is all about: when participants recognise their own world in the challenge we set them.
Balancing thrills and comfort zones
Bungee jumping and a free-fall simulator on one side, table football and pétanque on the other: that’s a deliberate choice. Not every employee wants to leap into the void, and a good programme should never make anyone uncomfortable. We always create an alternative of equal quality so everyone gets the best version of the day.
The cake as a production in its own right
A spectacular aviation-themed cake for a team that has spent years modelling aircraft is not an order you improvise. Briefing the pastry chef, approving the concept, transport, staging the reveal: the final cake is a production in itself, designed as a moment of the evening in its own right.
