The Bordeaux Convention Bureau wanted to win over Parisian clients and partners. We brought Bordeaux to them, in a Parisian venue that made them want to make the journey the other way.

The challenge

Convince Parisian decision-makers that Bordeaux is an event destination worth their attention, without a PowerPoint or a sales pitch.

The Bordeaux Convention Bureau didn’t need a pitch. It needed an experience. Bringing Parisian clients and partners together to present a destination can quickly look like yet another trade show. Or it can look like Bordeaux: warm, authentic, unexpected.

Our mission

find THE ideal spot in Paris, create the right atmosphere, and design a gathering where Bordeaux is experienced before you even get there. Proof by example: if the presentation of the destination is already this good, imagine the event on site.

What have we built? Our 5 Culture Makers Moments

An unusual, warm and cosy venue in the heart of Paris

No meeting room. No generic hotel. A Parisian venue chosen for its ability to embody the Bordeaux spirit: convivial, elegant without being stiff, with that extra soul that says straight away the day will be different.

Catered lunch of Bordeaux specialities

Canelés, oysters from Arcachon Bay, Entre-deux-Mers wine: the destination on a plate. A caterer chosen for its local roots and its ability to transport guests before they’ve even opened a menu.

Bordeaux Grands Crus tasting

The moment the conversation changes. When the wine arrives, sales pitches fade and exchanges become real. A selection of Grands Crus designed to impress Parisian palates and make Bordeaux an obvious choice, in the glass.

Prize draw in partnership with Laure Babin

A pair of Zeta Shoes trainers in Bordeaux colours to win: a desirable object, rooted in local culture, signed by a Bordeaux designer. The prize draw as an activation and memory tool: you leave with the Bordeaux brand in your head, if not on your feet.

Partner and client interviews: the souvenir video

Capturing on-the-spot reactions, spontaneous words, sincere smiles. A souvenir video that documents the gathering and becomes a communication tool for the Bureau: visual proof that Bordeaux knows how to host, even 600 kilometres from the Garonne.

Behind the scenes

Finding the right Parisian venue: the real challenge

A venue that is Parisian by location and Bordeaux by atmosphere. Cosy, unusual, warm: three adjectives that sound simple and rule out 90% of available spaces. We searched, visited, negotiated. The venue was half the promise.

Territorial coherence as the guiding thread

A Bordeaux caterer, Grands Crus, trainers in the city’s colours, a local designer as guest: every element tells the same story. Nothing is there out of convention; everything reinforces the destination’s identity. That’s what a brand experience is: not a pile of good elements, but a coherent narrative.

The Laure Babin partnership as a cultural anchor

Involving a Bordeaux designer in the prize draw shows that Bordeaux isn’t just a city of wine and golden stone. It’s a living creative scene, with talents that shine. A detail that says a lot about the destination’s ambition.

Video as an extension of the event

On-the-spot interviews capture what no report can measure: genuine enthusiasm, projects taking shape, the desire to come back. A well-made souvenir video lasts well beyond the day; it becomes a sales argument, a shared memory, a record of what really happened.

Presenting a destination is already a way of honouring it. Every detail of the gathering was a promise of what can be experienced in Bordeaux.

You have a destination, an offer, a region to put on the map

We know how to bring them to life.
